Workshops Project Management Project ManagementSo many elements go into managing a project successfully. Some people are pros at organizing the project and setting out the steps, but just can't get their people motivated and keep them on track. Others might be great with people -- able to leverage each person's strength, develop momentum, and maintain harmony -- but the details kill them. They bite off more than they can chew, or they go charging off in the wrong direction. Or they think they're near the end of the project only to discover that they left out a crucial step.
It's no wonder that really successful project management seems like a mission impossible. But it doesn't seem that way to participants in our Project Management workshop, which we call "Mission Made Possible." This workshop addresses both the people and the process sides of project management. Participants develop a fuller understanding of what successful project management requires, and they also get tools to help them -- tools like our twenty-one-page Project Planner, which helps them think through all the elements that go into a complete and realistic project plan. They leave eager to take on their project management mission -- a mission possible. Participants are ready to apply what they learned in the workshop because the workshop is designed to be individualized and job-relevant. Participants use a real project they have been assigned and apply the knowledge and tools the workshop provides to that specific project. So the relevance of the training is immediately apparent to them. This ensures that they -- and their managers -- will get the benefits of the workshop right away, on the job.
