Workshops Interviewing and Selection Interviewing and SelectionAsk any manager and they'll tell you that hiring is one of the toughest parts of their job. They know that a wrong choice is costly for the organization and stressful for employees. But there are so many obstacles to making the right choice. Figuring out what the job really requires. Asking questions that get good information. Then there's the pressure to fill the position quickly. And, yes, the discomfort that comes from having to evaluate people as well as reject them. The Interviewing and Selection workshop is a great resource for improving managers' interviewing skills. It takes the confusion and the emotion out of the process. Sure, they can still trust their intuition, but they can also trust the very clear, objective steps the workshop lays out for them. They'll leave the workshop with a changed attitude toward their hiring responsibilities - looking forward to "making the perfect match." The workshop is practical in two key ways: It focuses on the positions the participants most often fill, and it provides them with opportunities to practice asking questions and analyzing the information they get. And they actually evaluate and select an applicant for a job using the steps and tools they've learned.
