Conflict Management

Let's face it. Conflict is an inevitable part of human life, and the workplace is an arena with many occasions for conflict.

You would think that, given the inevitability of conflict, most people would have become used to it and have devised effective strategies for resolving it. But that's not the case at all. Most people are deeply uncomfortable with conflict and, consequently, their way of resolving it is all too often not the most effective, and respectful, way.

Most people agree that communication is the most important skill in business. We use it every day, in person, on the phone, or by email. Sure, some of us took communication classes in college, but when it comes to the real world, we find ourselves pretty weak communicators. And given that our communication practices are often long-held habits, making a change requires a long-term commitment to change. The Communication Lab lays the foundation to become a more successful communicator in all areas on the job. In this 2-day workshop, participants get feedback about their communication practices, learn techniques and skills for improved communication, and create development plans to become the kind of communicator they want to be. They also learn to give feedback to others and hear feedback from others on communication practices. The end result is a better understanding of one's communication practices and how they can be improved.
Here's what one participant had to say about this workshop:

"I have never rated a course with so high a ranking. This course was not what I expected; it was much more. RTT has managed to make us grow individually once again."
